Study rooms can be used by AIT faculty, staff and students for a three-hour period for group study and discussions. This facility is to avoid disturbing other readers in the library. Contact the Reference Desk to book study rooms. 

 

The Serials Section runs a "Current Awareness Service" in which photocopies of contents pages of recently received journals are circulated to faculty members at their request. Faculty members may request photocopies of any article from these contents pages. The payment for this photocopying can be arranged on a monthly basis by contacting the Circulation Librarian. E-mail based Alert Service giving lists of references to current articles is being provided on an experimental basis. Attempts are being made to change this into a field of study -based SDI service.

 

The Reference Section keeps Current Contents of core journals in "Engineering, Technology and Applied Sciences" as well as in "Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences" in diskettes. These may be searched using the PCs in the Reference Section. The citations in these data bases include the contact address of the author for obtaining a preprint/reprint. Please contact the Reference Staff for the latest diskettes for searching for recent and perhaps yet to appear articles on the topic of your interest.

 

Faculty members wishing the library to organize a bibliographic instruction program for students are requested to contact the Reference Librarian.
